YIORGO IOANNOU, Baritone was born in Cyprus in 1998 and is currently Artist in residence at the Académie of Opéra de Paris since 2021. Having built a mature personality early on during his teen years, he has the charisma and versatility to capture stages and audiences alike.

He studied at the Cyprus Academy of Music under the close mentorship of Maestro Yiannis Hadjiloizou. He furthered his studies at the Royal College of Music in London, and has attended masterclasses with composer Michael Hadjiloizou in Agros, soprano Tiziana Sojat (Alda Noni's daughter) in Pafos, as well as with baritone Leo Nucci in Milan.

Yiorgo had his first major concert solos with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra in Nicosia, the Cyprus Academy of Music in Vienna and Paris, the Nicosia Music Society in Stockholm, and the Athens Philharmonic in Athens, while in his teens, all under Yiannis Hadjiloizou's baton. He has also performed with pianist Cyprien Katsaris at Lincoln Centre in New York, Placido Domingo at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, and has been featured as Zweiter Nazarener in Opéra de Paris production of Richard Strauss' Salome on Mezzo TV, conducted by Sinone Young.
